The DRS team went into this event with confidence high. Drivers Larry Schnur, Greg Nitzkowski, and Roy Sakioka made a strong show, but it wouldn't be easy. Here are the highlights...
Congrats to Larry for his flawless drive and win for both races in Cup Class. The car was perfect all weekend with a totally new aero package and different gear ratios from the previous race at Sonoma.
Greg had the lead in Open Class, but Andy with a very fast car and excellent driving would eventually overtake Greg to take the win. Congrats to Andy for his great result.
Roy raced in Cup Class with the Exige and diced it out with the rest of the pack for most of the race on Saturday, nearly missing a car that spun in front of him. An offtrack excursion occurred, which was necessary to avoid collision. This would result in suspension damage, but the crew was able to repair the car to be back on track for the race on Sunday.
